miniCAD for Palm PDA's and Pocket PC's can:

• Create new Survey drawings in the field
• Import existing Survey drawings from most existing CAD packages
• Export Survey Drawings to most existing CAD packages

Advantages of the Palm (or PDA) over a laptop:

• The Palm is lighter and more portable

Advantages of the Palm over an HP Calculator:

• The Palm has a graphical display. Data is visual, not just a series of coordinates with point numbers
• The Palm performs more than just survey calculations (ie Diary, Address and note taking)

• Survey jobs can be imported and exported to and from the Palm. Field calculations and changes to jobs can be uploaded to Office CAD systems saving data re-entry.

miniCAD for Window's can:

• Perform all functions listed above in the Palm version (except Data Recorder operation)
• Handle large datasets
• Display user-defined symbols and linetypes
• Plot to scale directly to all Windows supported plotters or to DXF, using user-defined title blocks
• Undo or Redo an unlimited number of commands
• Run on all versions of 32bit Windows from Windows 95 to Windows XP
• Run on your PC if you can the operating system
• Requires about 10MB free hard disk space, CD ROM drive and a free USB or parallel port
